Alice releases book on her performance

Alice Johnson Therattil, corporator Ward No84 has during the past more than four years carried out various works in her constituency which have benefitted the people of the ward and she still continues her good services for the welfare of her ward. Alice has carried out various programmes for the rich and poor irrespective of cast, creed and religion. Having taken an oath to make Kalina a beautiful place to live, Alice has almost met her tasks and fulfilled her commitments towards the ward.
With improved foothpaths, cleaned wider drainage systems, construction of good roads, available sufficient drinking water, development of multi-storied Municipal market, conversion of Municipiality dispensary to mini hospital, micro-tunnelling sewerage system, widening bridge on Mithi river, conversion of Kalina Taloa of 7.5 acre land towards playground, landslide garden, community centre with meditation pavilion, reading rooms were some of the major projects taken up and some implemented during her tenure.
To put forward her works in the constituency, Alice Therattil released a booklet at St.Mary’s, Kalina in the presence of Kripashankar Singh, MPCC President and MLA; Janet D’Souza and host of Congress workers. Kripashankar Singh inaugurated the book and complimented Alice for the good work she has done in her ward. In her concluding speech Alice Therattil thanked her workers and supporters for their support and guidance. She said that her journey from a simple housewife to the services of the people has been a fruitful path and has assured to serve the people in times of their need.

Baliram Ghag organizes free Medical camp

Vinayak Raut, Ex MLA and Shiv Sena Secretary along with Baliram Ghag, Corporator Ward 82 and Chairman, Prabhag Samiti H/E&H/W ward organized a free Medical camp at Rameshwar Vidyamandir School, Dattamandir, Vakola last week. Doctors from Nair Hospital, Sion Hospital, K.E.M.Hospital rendered free check-up and consultation to about 900 patients who availed of the facilities.
During the monsoons with diseases like Malaria, Typhoid, Dengue, Lapto, Gastro, Jaundice etc on the rise, Baliram Ghag stated that it was the appropriate moment to hold this medical camp for the benefit of patients of his ward. Ghag concluded by stating that he never expected such a large response. He added had it not been for the downpour the crowds would have been even larger.
